EVRE partners with Mad About Wheels to deploy 500 EV charging stations across 100 cities in India

Indian infrastructure provider EVRE has teamed up with Mad About Wheels (MAW), a provider of retail services such as extended warranties, maintenance contracts and financing, to deploy over 500 chargers at EV dealerships across 100 cities in India.

EVRE will manufacture, establish, own and operate the public chargers, and MAW will provide value-added services to its retail partners, allowing them to add public charging to their sites at no cost. Charging will be enabled through the EVRE app, and pricing will vary by location.

EVRE offers public charging on a pay-per-use basis in nine cities across India. Some sites feature the company’s solar-powered Intellipoles. EVRE hopes to be operating 50,000 charging stations by 2023.

“Our focus is to provide consumer-centric infrastructure for our existing and potential EV customers,” said Mr. Amresh Khar, co-founder of Mad About Wheels. “Dealers get the charging point exclusive and free of investment. Partnership with EVRE helps us in providing 360-degree services and charging touchpoints at convenient last-mile locations, as well as driving profitability for our dealer-partners.  All these chargers are 2W and 3W [two- and three-wheeled EVs] smart-enabled.”

“We at EVRE strive to increase the touchpoints for EVs and continue to increase our footprint across the nation.  MAW provides us one such platform that enables us to reach out to the length and breadth of the country, touching a majority of the districts in our country within a year,” said Krishna K Jasti, CEO and co-founder of EVRE. “This added infrastructure to their existing setup will help the dealers with incremental revenue for using the chargers as public infrastructure, as well as using the parking spaces for charging hubs.”
