be sponsored by EDF, Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity. The rally takes place on Sunday 18th July and will start on the banks of the River Thames, covering over 58 miles, passing through beautiful Sussex and Surrey countryside before finishing on Brighton Beach.

Philip Valarino, Head of EV projects at EDF said:

EDF are passionate about helping the UK cut its carbon emissions to help Britain achieve Net Zero through wind, nuclear and solar. We’re proud to be sponsoring The Big Lemon London to Brighton EV rally which sets out to demonstrate and celebrate the rapid development of electric vehicles and renewable energy.

We are committed to supporting customers’ journey to drive electric through leasing deals, home charging points and our low cost, zero carbon electricity tariffs, and with the event due to feature an area for people to test drive an EV, we hope it will encourage more people to make the switch.”

Electric vehicle drivers, bikers, cyclists and self-build aficionados are invited to SIGN UP to the event, which will be a first for the UK’s ever-growing EV community.

Participants will be able to continue their celebrations after completing the London to Brighton EV rally at the Beach E-village on Madeira Drive, Brighton.

The E-village will host an array of showcases, displays, entertainment, food and drink along with the coveted award ceremony at the Grand Hotel Brighton with prizes for participants with the lowest energy consumption and general performance across all categories.
